The Ollinpapalotl Mexika Dance Group is a Harrisonburg International Festival tradition! Their exciting and colorful performance featuring stunning traditional garments is always a crowd-pleaser.

1:00-1:45pm West African Drums & More! Interactive Music for All Ages with Mike Deaton
Mike Deaton is an artist, teacher, and music facilitator who has spent 25 years studying ways to use music as a tool for wellness and resilience. When he isn’t drumming and playing gong music to ease a stressed-out world, he leads hands-on music and arts experiences for all ages. Catch him in the Worlds of Play Children’s area again at 2:30pm.

5:30pm Closing Ceremony – Kurdish Community
The Kurdish Community conducts the traditional closing ceremony at the Harrisonburg International Festival! This group participation performance is loved by everyone that has ever attended the festival and never disappoints in its ability to get everyone involved and full of community spirit.

Corrie Lynn Green and The String Geeks are thrilled to bring you true Appalachian Mountain Sound straight from the hollows of the Shenandoah Valley. Corrie Lynn Green and The String Geeks have been writing and delivering their originals with a commitment to storytelling and ballad singing passed down from generation to generation. Digging deep into the wells of their mountain roots, they extract the pain, poverty, and joy known from a mountain life.

11am – 1pm iRon Lion (Reggae)
iRon Lion has been an area performer and event coordinator in Harrisonburg since the 90’s and travels as a Reggae dj, musician and performer. He loves to share his experiences and influences from around Virginia and beyond!  iRon Lion creates a family, fun, friendly vibe that’ll keep you dancing or laid back in your lawn chair enjoying nature and the farmers’ products which are available in abundance!
